Message	If we want to explain everything in technical words, then yes, the lockup system gets activated when there is no more load, so the car is running free. Thats why I said is more like 4th and a half. Believe or not, even when O/D has no power, it can let the car accelerate, as long the torque converter is not locked. Again, once there is no load, no going up hill, no request of more speed, the torque converter locks adn now you get an even more efficient gear (almost no gas is needed).
